Our Top Tips for Buying Your New Motorcycle Helmet

Buying your first (or second, or third…) helmet can be tricky.  There are so many options, it’s hard to know what you need, what you don’t need and what the best option is for you.

So I’ve just put up a new article on choosing a motorcycle helmet – hopefully it helps!

Tips for Safe Riding

Hope everyone’s having a good weekend!

We’ve had some pretty nice weather, hopefully you’ve been able to get out for a ride.

I’ve just put up a new article about safe motorcycle riding after you’ve finished your QRide training.  There’s a good few tips and hopefully they’ll be of some use.

Enjoy your Sunday,

Q Ride Gold Coast Training Better in Nice Weather!

Things are getting busy again with this much calmer weather much nicer to ride in.

All of our Q Ride instructors much prefer the sun on them, rather than the rain!

So do our new and experienced riders.

Just heard from one of our students (Brendon) who has just come back from a 4,500 km ride out to Innamincka in South Australia and Birdsville, Queensland.

Q Ride Gold Coast student

Brendon with his V Strom. He loves her!

Always great to hear of the amazing adventures our students get up to – Brendon was a mature age (42 I think) student when he learned how to ride here just 4 years ago.

Since then he’s ridden with friends:

  • around Tasmania,
  • around the North and South Islands of New Zealand,
  • around Indonesia and
  • across America (on a big Harley with his 17 yo son on the back).

Next up is a 18,000 km ride around Australia, taking in the Savannah Way in Queensland and the Northern Territory, and the Gibb River Road in WA with his 20 yo son Jack (another one of our students) who has a KLR 650.

Ride safe lads!

You’re never too old to learn!
