SCOOTER LICENCE
GOLDCOAST MOPED AND SCOOTER TRAINING
Learn to ride confidently and safely with Australian Motorcycle Academy :
- We can provide an RE class Scooter, for either your training towards riding a MOPED OR for you to complete your RE Learners and RE class QRIDE training. Successful completion of QRIDE training on an automatic, results in an RE A (automatic motorcycle licence)
- Over 660ml automatic licence course (RA) – you will need to provide your own open class Automatic Scooter.
Whether you want to ride a SCOOTER or a MOPED we can help you with your training. However, there is a big difference between the two types!
A MOPED is a motorcycle with a maximum engine capacity of 49cc or an electric motor and manufacturer speed limited to 50Km/Hr. A MOPED can be ridden on the road in QLD if you hold a Class C Licence (Car).
Only the rider is permitted on a MOPED if riding it with a C Class licence.
A SCOOTER is a motorcycle with an engine capacity greater than 50cc or an electric motor and is not speed limited. Riding a Scooter on the road requires you to hold an RE Class motorcycle licence.

FULLY ACCREDITED INSTRUCTORS
Australian Motorcycle Academy, with our accredited team, can offer one on one or group training courses, to give you the best learning experience available. Australian Motorcycle Academy supplies the place, the riding gear and the scooters. This course is conducted under the Q-Ride system, which is competency-based training.
